As the saying goes: "Sex sells". From scantily-clad game characters to hiring popular bikini models to promote games to the never ending supply of booth babes at game conventions to ridiculous features like boob and ass jiggling, sexual imagery is everywhere in the gaming world, perhaps even moreso than the movie and music industries.
But has it gone too far?
As I mentioned in this article, sexism and the portrayal of female characters in gaming has become quite a hot topic lately as people are starting to question the increase in sexualization (especially of females) in games.
Hubpages.com's Crazdwriter critisizes the amount of female characters that wear impractival, revealing clothes in video games and asks why so many devs and publishers feel the need to rely on the oversexualization of women to attract gamers.
Have you ever looked at the way video games are developing into something entirely different than they had been in the past? More lifelike, more interesting graphics and more explosions, gore, and anything else that game makers can think up. But what baffles me is why in the world do they make women look so damn slutty?
