Chris Scullion of officialnintendomagazine.co.uk types up a blog concerning a question to the masses. Giving his own views, how important is a storyline in your games?

I recently completed Silent Hill: Shattered Memories for the Wii (expect the full review in the next issue of ONM, out on 12 February). What impressed me most wasn't the graphics or the gameplay - both of which are fantastic, by the way - but the storyline. It's the closest I've come to playing a movie on the Wii, and the plot's full of twists, turns and surprises.

Hmm. The story is important, but not as much as the gameplay. I think the story should enhance the gameplay

For me storyline has always been the most important thing. Even though the majority of games have similar story lines it's always so refreshing to see something different and even if it isn't different I'm still playing the game for how it'll turn out at the end.

Story should be at least as important imo, it can spoil a whole game for me. I can't even be bothered to finish Bayonetta because the story is so bad.
