A remake of the second generation of Pokemon games, Soul Silver/Heart Gold look to be the biggest releases in the franchise to date. Michael Grimm has decided to put up five reasons why these two games should prove to be amazing, their release in English only a couple of months away.

As far as Nintendo is concerned with Pokemon, just let the little critters work their magic. Pokemon has always favored little tweaks instead of major overhauls, and this remake of the original Gold and Silver games continues the tradition. Haters will accuse Nintendo of rehashing previous entries ad nauseum, so what about SS/HG stands out and makes this the Legendary one of the bunch?

Those are pretty good reasons. I mainly love these games already because they are remakes of some of my favorite games and they actually look pretty good.

Not to mention the new Pokedex and Menu look great and I absolutely love having Pokemon follow you! It was one of the things I loved in Yellow and I'm so glad it's back!

Silver/Gold was always my favourite of the entire series. The reasons they list are solid, aren't they!?

I think just the fact of them being Gold and Silver are solid enough tbh. I just like the extras they gave us.

Nothing could be better than a remake of the best generation. Although the five points listed are good ones indeed.

I hadn't bothered seeing what was updated/changed from the original G/S until now, but those look like some damn fine upgrades. Might actually pick this up alot closer to the release than I was planning.

I was all happy and good until I saw the PokeWalker. I'm in no mood to pay for a peripheral for this game, and I'll be pissed if the little zones on it withhold Pokemon if you don't buy it

      It comes with the game

And the pokemon you meet in the course can be caught elsewhere, they just can't be caught elsewhere with specific moves, like Fly and Surf Pikachu

At first it was a game I was gonna pick up much later on, but now I just have to have it.

I can't wait to get my hands on this, but question, ALL pokemon are going to be catch-able on 1 cartridge?
