Nathan Schmidt from Allegedly Speaking addresses the Game Informer review of Aliens Vs. Predator and questions the validity of the reviewer and the magazine itself.

"After reading the review, I was amazed that it was even published in the first place. Could Ben Reeves give any less information, or points that would validate such a low score? It honestly read like he had played the game for fifteen minutes, and then spent another five writing the review. For someone who references the great movies that inspired the game itself a few times in this very, very, short review, I'm forced to ask....dude, did you even watch the movies?"

i thought the exact same thing. i grew up with the alien movies, the predator movies, AvP, the older PC alien vs predator game and love em all, and the review really does sound like the bloke's seen the original alien and that's it! the review has to be a joke. can't wait for the game. peace

As I said in the last article. The reviewer obviously did NOT play the game as you are supposed to.

Woah, this website links to gamegrep directly for the scan of the review? That's super *bleep*ing weird... That's like a mirror looking into a mirror. I come here to find the link to the article, only to be redirected back to the same website for a scan of the review.

I'm waiting for more reviews, before I make a final decision. But that review still leaves me cautious. GI tends to have the highest scoring reviews, so you gotta wonder, despite this guy's bias, that there may be some underlying issues that surfaces once you play deeper into the game.

The GI review was garbage and shouldn't be trusted. Not that the demo doesn't have its problems, but the author has to be one of the most incompetent people on the planet if that's all the skill he could muster up for a review.

I've always trusted GI, but this time I'm going with my gut. I think the game will be solid, maybe not great, but worthwhile.

That said, I've never heard of that particular journalist.

Overall point being that I still trust GI, and I'm still going to give the game a shot.

I'm wondering if the reviewer had some issues going on and they accidentally leaked into his review. Either way, I'd imagine that people will be looking forward to see if he redeems himself at all with his next review.
