A couple days ago, the over 100-strong Grimoire Assembly Forge formally announced the development of Dudebro - My Shit is F----- Up So I Got to Shoot/Slice You II: It's Straight-Up Dawg Time. Bitmob's Andrew Hiscock, speaking with members of Grimoire Assembly Forge, has posted the first of a series of four articles, this one taking a look at how Dudebro II came to be and how the NeoGAF community rolled with it.

Dudebro has gone from meme to NeoGAF game-in-development. In this exclusive four-part series, we will explore gaming communities, independent development and the state of modern video games. In this first installment, we'll take a look at how NeoGAF users rallied around a comment originally cast as an insult and turned it into one of the funniest memes the board ever created -- and how things got serious very quickly from there.

Pretty good read, dawg. I'm gonna tell my homi-errr bros about this one.

In all serious though, I think it's awesome how the community comes together like that and goes through with making a game, a joke game, sure, but their effort won't go unnoticed. We should do a Neoseeker game, with a person behind a computer screen racing to post as much as possible before they...die. xD

Yeah, a big collaborative effort like this is something I would like to see the Neoseeker community pull off. Although, we do need a more cohesive forum for it to happen; maybe more generalized boards.

Of course, then there's that spark of inspiration needed. Imagine: Babyz Fashion threads don't come around too often.
