The current generation of gaming will forever be remembered and defined by the motion control devices the big three are developing and putting in the homes of consumers everywhere. Gaming has forever changed because of those devices. But there’s another aspect of this cycle of consoles that’s just as remarkable and memorable as the new technology in our living rooms.
I’m talking about the ever growing, ever flaming, and ever hateful console fan-boy war that’s raging on across social networking sites and forums all around the internet. Never has the war of hate between gamers been stronger. Their arguments help to bring a near endless supply of comments and attention to articles that wouldn’t otherwise have that level of attention of their own. But is this good or bad for the rest of the gaming community?
