DeathsNightmare of TheGamersHub compares his experiences with both BF:BC2 and MW2, commenting on issues including sound quality, environments, destruction, online structure and and actual game engine.

  • EVERYTHING MUST BLOW UP!

When I heard that DICE was making a Battlefield where you can blow up anything. I didn’t believe but, when the first Battlefield Bad Company came out, it was great to blow everything and everywhere. Now in Battlefield Bad Company 2 they make that destruction 10x times better. Modern Warfare 2 doesn’t have any destruction like taking down a whole building with C4. Modern Warfare 2 get a little boring without changing the environment. With Battlefield Bad Company 2 the environment is ever-changing and nothing will be the same. The fun begins with blowing stuff up and no more campers in that window anymore.

The larger environments thing actually puts me off the game. It's pretty annoying when your squad is nowhere near the enemy, or any of the territories, so you have to travel across the entire map just to get some action. Then in the end, you may just end up dying anyway. They're the right size maps if everyone had a vehicle, but being stuck playing on foot with only up to 12 people on the other team is far too slow paced for me.

I'm only willing to buy the game if there's small-sized maps. The last one had a couple that come to mind, which were basically the only ones I ever wanted to play. Of course, none of this would be a problem if they just increased the player cap, which the game honestly deserves.

Taking a building down with a single C4 my ass. I've spread dozens of C4 charges on all the walls in a building and it still refused to tumble. Really, complete building demolition is a rarity and the author acts as if the maps are a lot more dynamic than they really are, when in actuality they are almost as linear as Call of Duty's.

While I admit I did have some fun playing the demo it would definitely not warrant a purchase. Especially with so many other games coming out or already released that are just as good if not better than this.

    One reason - it isn't MW2.

I think just the reason that you can basically blow everything up in Bad Company, makes me love the game more than MW.

I just love sitting in a tank and blowing up houses just for no reason!

I don't think I'd buy a military based FPS without destructible environments after having played this game. I think I've played the demo more than I ever played MW2. The level is far superior to anything MW2 has on offer and the sound is better than any modern warfare game out there. The balancing is bang on and the depth of the experience far out ways MW2 so I can't see why anyone would prefer activision's title, other than glitchers and fanboys ofcourse.

I pre-ordered BF:BC2 after playing the demo daily for hours on end. It's a fantastic, solid game with a few minor problems but I'm sure they'll get fixed. No Killstreaks = pure bliss. I haven't played MW2 since the care package glitch, got sick of that BS. Can't wait for the full version. Matter of fact, I'm trading in MW2.
