This fan has picked up tons of brand new games, some even really expensive collectors editions, but has little to no time to play. Here is a list of the top ten games he dished out the big bucks for just to sit on the shelf, but wants to play sooner than later.

We all have massive amounts of games we haven't played yet. You might have a brand new game sitting on your shelf right NOW that hasn't been touched. Might still be sealed too! Even worse, you might've paid FULL PRICE on launch day to play this game, and you still haven't done anything more than open it to check out the manual on the crapper.

I'm that guy too

Then the game started and you were in a laboratory. My interest in the game ended right there. I'm not Altair? I'm some dick in a lab being experimented on or something?? Screw that. Then I watched him play and it seemed like some of the most complicated and convoluted controls I've ever seen in a game and I never cared from that point on.
Seriously? There's like two buttons you need to know, 'X' and 'RT'. You could honestly beat the whole game only knowing how to counter-attack =\. If you want to be all advanced and such, you can even include 'A' into that .

And the Desmond part of the story is actually the most interesting, even though his segments are pretty brief.

He has a point; if you look at the game it does seem complicated, regardless of whether it isn't. When I watched the demos of AC1 I was quite excited that it might take a lot to get done, but it's simplicity does shine through when you actually get your hands on it.

It's like... Mirrors Edge, I guess. When you see a pro playing it it seems quite complicated and hard to get into but once you actually play you see it's pretty simple.

This guy is a *bleep*ing tool for buying all these collectors editions and not even playing them because, by the sounds of things, he thinks they suck. That and he has no friends.

The only game on that list I have played is Batman and the only 2 I want to play are Gears 2 and Klonoa.

No we don't. Not that we own, anyway.

    Aaaaaaand, no.

You see, I don't buy games that I'm not going to play and I certainly don't waste my cash on collector's editions that I don't even think are going to be good. You see, I'm... how to put it softly... not stupid.

Well, I am, just not in such a ridiculous way.

I'm also an actual gamer. Generally if you want to play games that have the potential to be absolutely brilliant, that helps. How long did it take you to spew off this article? Time you could have spent playing the damn things.

But what do I know, I just have common sense.

The only games I own that I haven't played yet are Half Life: Blue Shift, Half Life: Opposing Force and Psychonauts.

The amount of time it takes me to buy a game and then eventually play it depends on how far the store is away from my house and the traffic involved. And yes, I have been late to my classes before just so I could finish the first mission or so in a game I had just bought.

I'd be willing to rent those games from him just so I could get my hands on them, haha. That's my only excuse for not playing them yet.

Play chrono trigger. It is a great RPG game. With a good storyline too.
