Stefanie Fogel takes a close look into on how sex in video games has been handled recently from titles such as Mass Effect, Dragon Age, Heavy Rain, Grand Theft Auto and many others.

I think even BioWare would have to admit, though, that the sex scenes depicted in one of their most recent titles, Dragon Age: Origins - in which your character and paramour of choice roll around by the fire with their underwear on - felt a bit awkward and cheesy.

Mass Effect 2 had much less "nudity" if you can even call it that than the 1st game did. Boo on censorship. There is a reason the games are rated Mature.

Dante's Inferno is rated like that for a reason. Parents need to take a stand and actually read the ratings on the game box when they're buying a game for their child.

In Australia, if a child can't play it, it doesn't get published.
L4D2 was "dumbed down" for Australia, yet I believe that God of War III got the green light. I don't understand how that system works at all.

To add to that, many games that are rated 18+ in other countries recieve a 15+ rating in Australia. It's a bizarre system.

It's Australia, that's all I have to say. A lot of things are strangely done in this country, going beyond just the realm of gaming.

Doesn't the sex in GoW take place off screen? Maybe that has something to do with it. I don't quite get it myself. I'm just guessing.

Along with overpriced games, and weird ratings, Australia is not a place to live if you're planning on gaming
