This is a feature top 10 list of things that Microsoft needs to do to dominate the 2010 Electronic Entertainment Expo (or E3) from gaming website PlanetXbox360.com.

The biggest event in the video game industry each year happens in Los Angeles, CA and goes by the tag Electronic Entertainment Expo (or E3), taking place sometime in June. Each year the big three console manufactures (as well as every publisher across the planet) bring the big guns to the conference floor and attempt to garner attention from media outlets everywhere. Depending on what they show and how their presser events go the console can either have momentum going into the Holiday shopping season or crash-and-burn with boring presentations and lackluster software. Even though it's a few months off we wanted to go ahead and list out the top 10 things that Microsoft must do to dominate E3 2010, for the Xbox 360 console.

Agreed for the most part. Especially on Half-Life. It's been what, three years? It's time...at least announce something. Anything.

Ultimately it's about Natal though. It looks cool and all, but they need to sell it as something that will add to games as a whole, and not just something to contend with the Wii*.

I personally don't think that Natal is any thing like the control system on the Wii. Natal doesn't require any controls other than the player however the Wii still uses a controller of some type. Also if the games that have been announced to be released this year feature anything on project natal that also would be a good selling point for the 360 as most of the game types on the 360 don't relay aper much on the Wii.

Is this a reply to me?

If so I agree with you...it's definitely it's own thing apart from the Wii. I only meant that it's an answer to the Wii as opposed as a mimicry.

I read in the months OXM about Fable 3 and how certain they seem that Natal support will find it's way in. It makes sense since Peter Molyneux is fronting both projects. However nothing concrete has been announced. It's things like this that could really make Natal special. It's a fine line between gimmick and over simplifying things though.

All Natal needs is a good game lineup. It doesn't matter how good the technology is if you can't use it to it's full capability and have fun whilst doing it. I bought into the Wii like many of us, thinking that the idea was great and innovative, but quickly realized that there's simply no games that really capture the essence of what I wanted the Wii to truly become. If Microsoft can create addictive games that work with the technology, rather than the technology just getting in the way, then it's going to be a hit. Otherwise, it'll just be another case of "Oh, what could have been...".

As far as the MMO thing goes, "The Secret World" looks pretty interesting. I'm hoping to see some gameplay soon.

It makes sense. Every console needs to have a good holiday lineup so they can sell more games through their company.
