Worst Video Game Spin-Offs in Gaming History

Go Fanboy released a list of the worst spin-offs from popular video game series in gaming history. The list is comprised of five games from various genres across multiple platforms.

Throughout the history of games, companies have released sequel after sequel following similar formats that feature the same style of gameplay which worked in the original. But every now and then a company thinks it's a good idea to take a popular franchise and branch it off into a new direction. We're looking at five of the worst spin-offs in the history of gaming. You may not agree with some of them; heck you may not agree with any. But the fact is the titles we've listed here don't come close to matching the franchises they were spun from.

    Pokemon Snap was a great game! I thoroughly enjoyed it, the fact that the writer says you should go and play DOA Beachball, means he's a loner.

      Those Dead Or Alive fanservice games suck dicks, anyway. Stick with the main games, which probably won't extend to a fifth game until the next batch of consoles come out while more shitty fanservice games come out. Admittedly, I'm not huge on Snap (and I bet 88% of the reason for that is because I didn't grow up with it), but it wasn't bad, certainly not the worst spin off ever. In fact, those shitty DOA fanservice games belong on that list more than Pokemon Snap does!

      And am I the only one who didn't hate Shadow The Hedgehog? Oh noez he has a gun and vehicles, must be a bad game - get the *bleep* out of here. It wasn't good, but it didn't cup the balls either.

    I loved Pokemon Snap! I actually just played it not too long ago on the Wii XD
