Top 5 Worst Sequels in the History of Video Games

Go Fanboy's Brandon Thompson has run down the top five worst sequels in the history of video games. Some are predictable, while a couple on the list are surprising.

While there are a lot of bad sequels out there, we've decided to single out the top five we think are the worst. Just like every list, not everyone will be happy with our choices. 2K Sports fans will no doubt wonder why the list isn't compiled completely of EA Sports' Madden releases which rarely improve. Fans of series we’ve chosen will certainly get mad like they always do. However we’re sure that many gamers will agree that the list that follows is pretty accurate.

    I take offense to them saying that Sonic Adventure 2 was a bad game, I *bleep*ing love that game.

    Mario Bro's 2 was *bleep*ing awesome imo.So what if it was totally different to the others and was comletely ripped off of another game.


    MGS2 is also imo a dumb as shit honourable mention.MGS2 was brilliant even though the story was confusing as hell and Snake was barely played.

    Sonic Adventure DX was decent, as were the Sonic Advances. Sonic Adventure 2: Battle was one of my favorite games for the gamecube. I probably enjoyed it almost as much as I did the original Sonic 1-3 for the Genesis.

    KOTOR II are you serious? It might of had a bunch of techniqual bugs but it as still a good game.

      Agreed, fairly common lag problems and some other fairly major bugs. It bothered me, but it was still very akin to KOTOR and even had some improvements with skills effecting the dialogue options. Solid story as well. Doesn't belong on this list.

    I actually enjoyed SMB2 as a kid and still do. I always liked how it was different from the rest of the Mario games even if it's technically a different game except with Mario characters.

    Are you having a laugh! How dare you say every Sonic game. Can I just ask what you have been smoking? SA2, Heroes and Unleashed were good games as were most of the GBA games. Shouldn't that be EVERY Mario game stinks. Let me guess a Ninty shagger right. Your list sucks. Go away you have no right being anywhere near video games.

      I will take Mario over Sonic any day.


      You call them a Ninty shagger yet you claim every Mario game stinks.So it seems you shouldn't be calling anybody an anything shagger as it seems you are either a Sega or Sonic shagger yourself.

      To make things clear, I don't think the Sonic games suck.I do enjoy them but I'm not a big fan of them.
