So Activision and Bungie signed a 10 year deal with each other but what does it mean? Will Activision be setup to kill another golden egg laying goose or will Bungie be creatively insulated from their new partner?
The immediate reaction from gamers to the announcement of the Bungie deal with Activision appears to be one of bewilderment. Whether this is primarily due to the dust-up between Activision and Infinity Ward or Activision President Bobby Kotick's statements that the company is committed to constant sequels for franchises such as Call of Duty and Guitar Hero is unclear. It may just be a combination of all the negative news that has come out of Activision recently. So, let's take a look a little deeper at the deal and what it might portend for the future.
