An interesting article that details why Zelda is about inspiration more than it is about gameplay. From Sheik in Ocarina of Time, to King Ikana in Majora's Mask and Daphnes in The Wind Waker, inspiration is abundant.

Zelda, as I have come to know, is less about playing it and more about what remains with you afterwards. Hell yeah, it's corny, but it's true.

When I want to play a game and come away with nothing but the satisfaction of having slain gargantuan bosses, I'll play Monster Hunter Tri. Zelda has always been so much more.

That was one of the funniest boss fights in the console zelda games, and its from MM to boot.

Probably because you can't play non-console Zelda.

    and emulators are cheating.

The home console Zeldas always offered a lot more than their portable versions though. Well they have since the N64 days anyway.

The portables remain top down view(or slightly tilted in the case of Phantom and Spirit Tracks) and are comparatively shorter, staying to the older styles of Zelda games with some improvements.

On that note I'm sure there's still a good amount of people waiting for OoT DS.

Huh, I guess. I still consider handheld to be a console.

When people say console they tend to mean the home consoles rather than home and portable consoles.
