It's time for another Retro Rewind presented by Game Podunk, and this time around, it's Sony's popular, artistic, and acclaimed game, "Shadow of the Colossus."

Many gamers that watched the Adam Sandler and Don Cheadle film “Reign Over Me” well after its release were shocked to be smacked in the face with some video game retrospective in the form of Shadow of the Colossus for the Playstation 2. However, it was a popular game when it was released in 2005 - gaining widespread critical acclaim and strong sales. It may not be that old but, with the number of games released each year, it is very easy to forget games even 5 or 6 years old. Shadow of the Colossus was a trend setter for many of the great aspects we enjoy with games today and an important step towards the entrance of video games into the realm of artistic achievement.
