Rockstar’s latest open world epic, Red Dead Redemption, is a really good game. However, I feel like it could have been much better. Rockstar carried over a number of the problems the Grand Theft Auto series has had since its gone 3D and also managed to introduce new issues.

"To put it simply your character still controls like an unresponsive tank. One of the main complaints about GTA3 was the poor out of car on foot controls, so Rockstar changed things up with GTA4 but really didn’t completely fix the problem. The addition of a cover system, rolling and slightly more responsive controls really helped the game’s on foot mechanics but it still doesn’t control as well as other big name franchises out there."

I agree with 1 and 2 (I mean, Mr. Marston has a bigger turning circle than my car ).

Though I take serious offense to No.3. Red Dead's world is *bleep*ing awesome.

I think it's awesome also. I just found it to expansive and boring at times. I realize that that's because Rockstar is trying to make it realistic, but sometimes realism doesn't translate into the greatest gaming experience.

Sometimes I loved just getting lost in the expansive world. Other times it annoyed me because sometimes a mission would take me halfway across the county, and then tell me to go all the way back afterwards.

Also, the fact that Marston had to do a big circle to turn around got annoying too, especially when trying to manage ladders.
