On July 8th, BioWare announced Dragon Age II, the sequel to the game Dragon Age: Origins. While RPG gamers around the world should be celebrating, some of the tidbits revealed by BioWare incited mild panic and trepidation.

Fight like a Spartan? In absolute truth, I just watched 300 yesterday. BioWare, if you’re going to reveal this little gem, I expect to see oiled-up men in the background clothed in nothing but a minuscule loincloth, with glistening six pack abs. Seriously though, ‘fight like a Spartan’ kinda scares me. It makes me imagine that I’ll be playing Dynasty Warriors rather than Dragon Age.

Well, it's not that I have a problem with Dynasty Warriors. It's just that I prefer to keep Dynasty Warriors and Dragon Age two separate games. I don't want them to be combined! Dragon Age is for when I feel like playing an amazing RPG, and Dynasty Warriors is for when I feel like racking up the kill count and slashing people apart.

Nobody said this game was like DW, the author made an off hand comment saying that it feels like it's DW simply because of the spartan comment Bioware made.

I'll worry about it when Bioware gives me a reason to worry, and they've yet to do that.
