nintendo3dsblog.com take a serious think about the upcoming Nintendo console and try to reason with us and themselves as to exactly how they are going to market this console and show off the 3D capabilities. Are they going to use other mediums than Television and Radio because it cannot show the 3D aspect of it? and why does it matter how they campaign it to the consumers?

But while Nintendo have acknowledged the difficulty of marketing any form of 3D content, they surely wouldn’t chase a dead-end venture. In other words, they know what they’re doing. The problem is, we don’t know what they’re doing. And that matters because you can learn a lot about a product by how its marketed, and I’d like to try to reverse-engineer that process.

I want to suggest ways Nintendo may go about marketing the 3DS and the ways in which this will affect you.

Gamecube... I did like my Gamecube for the half dozen good games, but yeah Nintendo isn't above swinging and missing.

No gaming company is. They've all had their fair share of failures.

I think they'll send lots of demo consoles around stores and shopping malls, that's just about the only way they can properly market it.

Although Europe won't get any, as per usual with Nintendo.
