Examiner.com profiles a young Marietta, GA girl who earned her way to the Pokemon World Video Game Chamipionships to be held August 13 - 15 in Kona, Hawaii.

When 10 year old Lauren Metcalf of Marietta, GA walked into the Gwinnett Arena back in June with her mother Sandra and twin brother Marc, she was just looking to have some fun in her first competitive Pokémon Video Game tournament. To her surprise, she finds herself headed to Kona, Hawaii for the Pokémon World Video Game Championship.

    It'd be embarrassing to lose to her due to age difference. But hey, good luck to her. And she gets to go on a nice holiday, even if she doesn't seem to appreciate it as much as the contest opportunity.

      yes. it's embarrassing to lose to a 10 year old girl, but not embarrassing to be playing pokemon in the first place when you're not a ten year old girl.
