Medal of Honor is returning with a modern warfare twist. For some this is a godsend, bringing the franchise into the present in more ways than one. That said, for some its world world foundations are rubbing the wrong way.

The market is pretty well flooded with first person shooters right now, and those of the "modern warfare" variety are a dime in a dozen. Chances are that had the multiplayer set up competitions between "Generic Army A" and "Generic Army B" like most others do it would have flown right under the collective radar of the gaming community. By making it an interactive bout between American soldiers and the Taliban however, the game has been drawn front and center into the consciousness of the industry. You can bet that for every person turned off by the prospect of pumping US soldiers full of lead, there's going to be five more made curious by the possibility.

People need to get over it. This game is about taking on the Taliban and like all games with competetive MP, you play as both the good guys and the bad guys.Nothing more nothing less. The only difference between this and say Resistance is that are fighting/playing as a real group of people and not some ficticious race.

Nobody is saying hey, we want you to sympathise with and end up liking the taliban.

      Morons being morons.

How many people complained in all the WWII games when you were allowed to play as Nazis vs Americans, or Axis vs Allied? These morons don't actually make up any large percent of gamers anyway. Their opinion is worth little.

It's a game. There's always going to be some politically correct / zealously religious person ready to complain though.
