It seems like every game nowadays ave some type of downloadable content come out for it after it's release. Is this a sign that games are now relying on this DLC fad?

No game requires DLC. Doesn't *bleep*ing stop it though.

Games don't NEED dlc but dlc can be and is cool.

I may not buy much DLC (I usually only buy single player DLC) but I like to have the option.

I'd rather they just include enough of it in a full game rather than holding stuff back to sell to us after we already buy the game. Maybe that's just me though.

Nah I like finishing a game and thinking you are done with it, then at a later date seeing there's more to add to the game which makes you play it again.

So you enjoy being milked like a corporate cow? Whatever floats your boat, I guess

I only see it as milked in circumstances like LBP where they bring out hundreds of costumes.

Other than being "milked" as you say, I don't see what is remotely bad about added extra to a game later down the line. You like it you buy it, you don't like it or it's to expensive (looking at you Yoda for SCIV at the ridiculous price of AU$7) Especially with DLC like Borerlands DLC. Most of that DLC was better than some full games. The 3rd lot of Borderlands DLC could have almost been the original game.
