Microsoft's recent price raise for the Xbox 360's online service, Xbox Live, has caused some faithful gamers to question what the service is worth to them and whether or not it merits the price in question. This is a case where it was found that PSN for free is a much better deal than Xbox Live for fee.

This wouldn't be the first time that we will be experiencing this feat. Yet, I think I'll continue to play the 360 for its games rather than online features..

This would be interesting if Xbox 360 owners actually go through with it. I mean I hear it all the time from friends that they are getting a Playstation 3, that they are making the switch. They never do though as as much as they hate paying for live the majority of their friends are Xbox 360/Live users and they don't want to move away from them.

If this does start happening, I can see this migration happening in pockets at first with only a few hundred moving at a time. Once enough go then I can see the rest going as there will come a time when even the Xbox faithful will have more friends playing PS3 than 360 they'll have to move..

While I don't seriously see it happening myself it would be quite humorous if it did.

I don't think the price hike will lead to mass Xbox Exodus (Catchy phrase no?) right now, but I suppose if they hiked it again and PS3 remained free and it's Plus content improved to match what the Xbox Live has (at it's current price) then yes it could very well happen.
