Our favorite neighborhood Spider-man has definitely made his mark within the gaming world over the last couple of years. Now, with the release of Shattered Dimensions, GamesCastLive take a look into the wall-crawler's virtual history.

Spider-man – one of the most (if not the most) recognizable superhero to ever grace us mere mortals has had his fair share of video game appearances over the years. Since the Web-heads inception in the 60’s, Stan Lee’s creation was destined for the video game world and in 80’s and early 90’s started seeing our favourite wall-crawler on everything from the Atari 2600 to the Sega Mega Drive.

The Spider-Man Movie title for the PS2 was one of the first legit SP games I'd ever played from start to finish. While it was quite wooden, the freedom of the sandbox mode introduced in Spider-Man 2 and Ultimate Spider-Man was phenomenal, leading to the sheer graphical beauty of Spider-Man 3.

Now I simply can't wait to see how this latest installment in Spider-Man's video game saga plays out.

@DXD, completely agree with you. Shattered Dimensions is very good, different to usual Spider-man formula with it's 'linear' levels, but DEFINATELY worth checking it out if you a Spidey fan

Shame he didn't mention Separation Anxiety and Spider-Man The Animated Series.SMTAS was the game that got me into Spider-Man.Every time I would go to my friends house I would want to play it.I still kick myself every time I remember that I could have bought SMTAS 6 or so years back and chose not to.
