With a belief that learning should be fun (and that fun should be work) the marriage of education and gaming dates back to the earliest days of the technology. Let's take a look back at some of the games that defined the genre, and remember all the valuable things we learned along the way.

For anyone who remembers trying to convince a parent to buy a game for them, the old "What practical purpose does it have?" argument probably also brings back memories of frustration.

    [size=1]Jeez, I remember the very first video games I had ever gotten into were the dinky preschool puzzle games which were programmed into an RCA VCR of mine which I owned back in the early 90s.

    Without them, I most likely wouldn't be the game enthusiast I am today.
