Are modern war games running out of places to invade or be invaded by. With more and more modern styled war games coming out every year- their might be slim pickings in the future of believable threatening countries that could be the enemy in the games.

I don’t have any doubt that the talented teams behind both games will be able to continue coming up with great gameplay scenarios, engaging combat puzzles and thrilling scripted moments that make military shooters so much fun. It’s the settings that could become an issue – now that both WWII franchises have become modern day shooters, where do they go from here?

It's better than World War II shooters.

At this point, I'd rather see developers creating more alternate history games. Homefront sounds interesting.

Alternate history is the next step and most modern war games have been doing that quite well.

I say they should develop a musket-type game. It would be totally awesome to have to reload after each bullet you fire.

then everyone would call racism like they are with Russia. We should just stick with Russia or the middle east, the nay-sayers have gotten use to them by now.

Fallout has done as China as the main bad guy for a while. then again Fallout's portrayal of the US is very grim too.

I think alternate history/slightly in the future is on the way. Like the game Homefront, where i think North Korea brings down the American government.
