An article on the possible impact of Gran Turismo 5's many delays, comparing it to the 18 month delay of Gran Turismo 4 preventing it from outselling GT3. What will the most recent delay mean for its success?

Delays in gaming are dangerous. There is only so long gamers want to read previews and watch trailers before it’s enough already and they just want to play the ruddy thing. Gran Turismo 5 has missed more release dates than we thought possible. Dates have come and gone so often, I’m not surprised gamers are reluctant to believe it’s really coming next week until they have their hands on it.

Yes. I think so. Not in terms of sales perhaps, but people will clearly be expecting it to be super amazing, have really high expectations of it (myself included), and it won't live up to them. It'll be really good, I have no doubt of that, just not as good as I'm hoping...
