I highly doubt this will be able to compete with CoD but for $7.99 this definitely looks like something I would be interested in.

that actually does not look half bad, it almost looks like an upgraded Counter Strike game to be honest. Too bad I do not have a Move yet, but this would definitely be a game I would get if I had a Move...

Call of Duty isn't hard to kill and replace with a new mainstream FPS, it's just that the people who develop said 'killer' need to know wtf they are doing and what people want. I'm sick and tired of all these games coming out trying to trump CoD when to actually beat it all you have to do is listen to the people. Like, CoD4 is pretty much the best CoD game to date. MW2 did not compare. CoD4 had very few issues, albeit small mistakes plagued it. If Infinity Ward had just listened completely to the fans and y'know implemented what they want for the sequel, then I guarantee the game would have been better. No don't take every suggestion or idea, but the ones that actually make sense and are wanted by the majority are usually things you probably want to implement.

And another thing, you don't want super realistic shit. Make it fun, make it semi-realistic but don't go over the top on realism.

What people want is more Call of Duty. And people do want super realistic shit. Because the majority of people, especially those who still buy CoD, aren't all that in the brain department.

If you wanted realistic stuff then go play Battlefield: Bad Company 2. If you think about it CoD isn't all that realistic. If you want to trump it then your clearly going to need to right it's wrongs.

You don't get it. This isn't about which game is more this than that, it's about Humans being simple, stupid creatures defined by habit. Idiots flock in the millions to buy CoD. Until the trend changes to something else, say the hipster decide action/adventure games are the way to go and the general public follows suit after mass-marketing, CoD will be number one. It took Microsoft a *bleep*-ton of advertising and planning to uproot Playstation and take its spot as the people's choice and in the same way, people won't just flock from CoD to a different FPS without that kind of backing and since CoD is the money maker it will always be the one with its hand in the console's pockets. They'll flock from CoD to CoD like an indecisive bird and only when FPS is dead will CoD die.

You also have to remember, a large part of the COD demographic are little 14 year olds who mindlessly purchase anything branded with the words "Call of Duty" on it, without actually knowing what the game is about.

Of course, there are also older people who ironically share that same sheep mentality; buying it just 'cause it's COD.
