Activision has reportedly made a statement that they are considering shutting down the PS3 log-in and infrastructure servers required for Black Ops to work online in the popular multi-player game. But will they really? Also, the argument to why they want to do this and where they place the blame will probably bring up more arguments amongst gamers than the possibility of the actual shutdown. Okay, the writer of this article thinks that Microsoft are trying to pay off Activision to dump the PS3.

Talk about jumping to conclusions. And that's not mentioning the complete lack of sources.

I doubt that this would happen at all, I read a blog post about someone contacting Activision. Basically the representative was stating that Activision has the right to pull the plug on the PSN server at any time; even giving his own opinion that they could with all the daily complaints about connection issues. This is one person's opinion and not all of Activision's.

One big incentive for Activision to not shut down the servers is profit.

Maybe Activision needs better PS3 programmers, party problems and server disconnect are not the fault of the system or hackers. Hackers are not really even a problem yet, so you cannot blame this on Sony and the PS3. Activision, this is why everyone hates you...

Oh what a load of shit. Activision will drop the shitty handheld and wii version of their COD games before they drop the PS3.

the fact that COD even exists on the Wii or handhelds just goes to show how much Activision loves money...and how much they suck balls.

However, there is the possibility that Microsoft could be paying off Activision to shut down the PS3 servers so that the Xbox 360 can dominate the Call of Duty market.
I'm not sure, but I think that's illegal.

    This author is retarded.

It's well known by now that Activision is focused on making a big profit.
Yeah, no shit. What company isn't?

    quote
They have already made billions off of the Call of Duty series across all platforms, and if they were to shut down the PS3 servers, they would be losing a lot of profits.
    Again, no shit.
