If it has a sensible price and Sony actually explain why the system is more expensive then I don't see why it couldn't. I mean the big selling point is obviously going to be PS3 gaming on the move. I think it will succeed to be honest and I'm certainly buying one.

It could be like the PS3 where it had a terrible start, then again that seems to be the curse with all sony gaming products =/

The real problem is going to be the price. If it's $400+ then that will severely hurt in the long run. Since the 3DS is $250, I plan on it at the most $350. Any more and I might as well just buy me a ps3, even if it isn't portable =/

If the price is decent I'd say yes. The thing is a less powerful portable PS3 in it's current form from what I've been reading. So unless Sony pulls another outrageous price on us...

Jeez, can we refrain from calling it the "NGP"? It's a bit confusing. The chances of the final product not being called the PSP2 is about as likely as Sony's next home console not being called the PS4...

All depends on it's games really.

The first PSP just had watered down PS2 & PS3 games, never really had anything on it's own apart from the odd few titles including Metal Gear Solid: Peacewalker.

From what it can do seems all good on paper, but if it really can play PS3 games on the move then it's going to be a big selling point.
