There has been mixed feelings with DLC being utilized more by the publishers which leaves gamers wondering if we're getting less for our hard earned money. Here's an opinion from GP's blogger IWX, and how he's not happy with it.

The biggest offender is the Call of Duty series. $15 for 3-4 multiplayer maps. That just makes me laugh, then I get sad because there are people out there that actually buy it. And that is the reason why they charge that price. They KNOW they can get it because the same people will mindlessly open their wallets and snag the new content. (Just a quick mini rant on Map Packs in general. A rant inside a rant? Talk about mind blowing. Depending on how a map pack is implemented it can completely ruin a gaming experience for many playing the game. Some cycle these new maps in frequently, making it possibly take as long as 10 minutes to get into a game that is not cycling the new maps. If you don't buy the maps, there is no shot at enjoying the game.
