Mad Overdose shares their thoughts on the recent Crysis 2 leak and urges gamers to resist temptation as well as discuss the only good that can come out of this leak.

Who really didn't see this coming sooner or later? News recently broke out that an "unfinished" version of Crysis 2 has been leaked and is now dripping through the internet connections of many hungry thieves all over the world. This leak contains not only what is presumably the full single player campaign, but also multiplayer with serial key included. This news will surely make pirates cream from their eyeballs and knock their wooden legs together, but ultimately comes a really low blow to Crytek who are planning to release the game in March.

... .. And PC gamers wonder why developers are making more games for PS3 and 360. This answers their question PC games get pirated and leaked much more frequently than on console which kills any chance of profits on the platform. At least Crytek have the backup of the consoles for income as they have now all but lost profitability on PC.

You say that like every PC game ever released doesn't get pirated in some form. Even console games get leaked/pirated nowadays. It's just part of it, same as the movie/music industries.

In most cases, there are enough people that either don't know how to pirate media, or are honest and want to show support for the developer.
