tekmosis | July 31, 2007 | Blog | Misc
GamePro has composed a list of the top 10 worst selling handheld consoles on the entire planet. Now, if they actually have correct sales data for these I'm not sure where they've gotten their figures from. It's still interesting to take a look at.

A few of the handhelds I haven't even heard of. Which, proves even more as to why they should be on this list.

Now, I bet you're all wonder what the number one worst selling handheld is, right? Well, prepare to be shocked.....the SONY PSP!

.....Just kidding ;)

10) Game Gear
9) Nokia N-Gage
8) GBA Micro
7) Neo-Geo Pocket
6) NEC Turbo Express
5) Sega Nomad
4) Atari Lynx
3) Game.com
2) Trapwave Zodiac
1) ??????????

check out the source for the number 1 worst handheld EVAR.

But the Game Gear was a great system!

...except for the part where they need 6 AAs to run.

The Game Gear was awesome. It was the PSP of its time.

Yeah, I loved Game Gear. It was pretty cool looking and had really fun games as well.

I still have my Game Gear at my parents house somewhere. Although, I don't think it works.

I don't anymore. Sold it somewhere down the line. Some great games on it though.

Haven't heard of most of the other handhelds there though.

Haven't heard of many of them handhelds unfortunately, not suprising though as they are in the list of top 10 worse sold handhelds. I do remember thinking the Nokia N Gage was extremely poor though, only know what person that went and bought one haha!

They had one set up at a game shop around when it launched. Can't remember what game was in it now, but I tried playing it and could barely see anything because the screen width really wasn't suited to the games.

The N Gage was truly bad, I don't know anyone who bought one. I am not surprised about the Game Boy Micro being on their though, my friend had one and it was pretty useless.

It doesn't seem to surprise me that the Game Boy Advance Micro is on that list. I have never seen anyone with one. Virtually all stores that did stock them had the majority of their stock sitting there.

I don't see the point in saying "the PSP!"?

game.com is an actual handheld? what?

There is no point. It was a joke and had no purpose other than "lulz". Don't take it so seriously.

I was surprised to see the GBA Micro on there. Especially after the N-Gage. I would have expected the N-Gage to be high up on the list. Most of the handhelds on that list I never heard of. >.<

That just proves how bad some of them are since you never heard of them. xP

Aww, the Atari Lynx was my first ever console. It got me into gaming back when I was 4-5.

I still play it sometimes. XD
Lynx version of Shadow of the Beast ftw!

Not only did the GameGear need 6 batteries, they died out pretty quickly, as did other handhelds that went colored and such during those years...which is why GameBoy won. Better battery life, and the addicting games like Tetris.
