Microsoft held a pre-GDC press event earlier today in San Francisco with promises that gamers would be "really happy" with all the upcoming announcements. With no new core exclusives being revealed and barely anything new even being talked about, it ended up being a huge disappointment.

I am seriously glad that I own a Playstation 3 as the Xbox 360 is no longer delivering titles for the core gamer. I mean Gears of War 3 and XCOM are the only exclusive games for Xbox 360 this year..

There is something wrong with that, what happened to the Xbox 360 that enabled owners of it to attack Playstation 3 for lacking exclusives.. I love my Xbox but damn the shoe is on the other foot now as the console has nothing where as the Playstation 3 now has everything.

I hear ya. I think Microsoft tried to capitalize a little too much on their core series, rather than additionally helping emerging new IPs like Sony does. While Sony does like to market their big titles, they also like to find new potential franchises that can both add to and potentially replace existing franchises.

Halo and Gears can only get you so far.

I wouldn't rule out the 360 yet. Microsoft have started the year slow before, only to pull out a ton of games in the middle of the year. I'd wait until E3 before we start declaring a lack of titles.

Agreed. I give them until E3 but if I don't hear about some more core games by then, I'm buying a PS Triple.

Meh, I'll just stick to multiplatforms, they're all I play anyways.
