Dead Space 3 isn't out yet, but for those who finished Dead Space 2, a list of improvements and wants are sure to be floating around somewhere. GP blogger, Jamie Donnelly presents his here.

All it took was EA CEO John Riccitiello saying "That excludes Dead Space because I think it will probably take Dead Space 3 before we get into that five million unit cadence versus say three, four.", and I had motivation and an excuse to talk about what I want Dead Space 3 to include. I really enjoyed Dead Space 2, and I judged it deserving of an 8/10 when I reviewed it upon release. However, I am a gamer, which means no matter how much I enjoy something I am never truly satisfied and always find something to bemoan.

A little less linear.. I liked the way it was in Dead Space where it was just a little more open. A compromise between the more open nature of the first and the linear nature of the second would be fine, just add a few sections where I can use an elevator to go to the wrong area like in the first.

I want newer enemy types and perhaps newer weapons. While Dead Space 2 was great I can't play it through a second time as after playing the first game to death everything feels oh so very familiar.

I also want more psychological horror moments. In Dead Space 2 the scariest part of the game was right at the beginning where you had nothing but a flash light and you had to walk a pitch black office full of corpses. That was horrible not knowing if one was a Necromorph, though sadly that was pretty much the only Silent Hill like psychological horror segment.
