You are pretty much the only one that has come to this conclusion. You read any other website that has seen the game in action or played the game and they will tell you that it is an intense ride. So the game has a weapon system slightly more like Dead Rising.. You missed out that the game has an open world like Grand Theft Auto, levelling system like Oblivion, co-op like Left 4 Dead, combat like Condemned etc..

Oh and if it was full of laughs would you have survivors rocking back and forth on the floor frightened for their lives, people screaming in fear. The main character isn't making any jokes or smart comments while slaying Zombies he is on a quest to find survivors and get off the island using any means necessary. Just because the game has borrowed ideas from many games over the last 10 years does not mean it will be a barrel of laughs just because it happened to take a core feature from Dead Rising 2.

lol, what a troll. i dont get why writers write total BS about games when they know nothing about them.

I had hoped the game was going to take a more serious tone than it did, but that doesn't mean I don't like what the game actually is like.

The game still is serious the article writer knows nothing and I can say that with much confidence. If you read about the game on any other website people that have actually played it or sat down and watched it being played tell you the game is gritty, serious, tense and realistically violent.

Really? I've seen other sources saying the same thing. i.e. That it's more like Dead Rising than Resident Evil.

I have to say, from the screenshots... I must agree.

An electrified machete? What the hell?
