Reported Diablo 3 caused death

For years, the Xbox 360 has touted the fact that no other service can really compare to it. However, that may no longer be the case. We attempt to tackle the issue of Xbox Live and determine if in fact it is worth the money. Cheers!

Retracting, I agree a bit. If someone likes Live, then yeah it's worth it to them.
But the article itself, saying there there's a better-value option than Live, is a fact.
also 360 has more unique users. PS3 might have more accounts but some players will have more than 1 account.
Unless of course you don't care about gaming with friends.
Sony have PSN+ now and have started adding some nice features to that which normal members can't get, the same way Microsoft is doing with XBL Gold.
The way I see it, I pay my XBL monthly and £5 a month coming out of my account doesn't even get noticed, anyone who complains about it really is either a hater or a very very poor person.
PSN is good too, it's just I prefer being able to talk to my friends no matter what game I play instead of having to play the same game.
It's no doubt to me that cross game chat will probably become a PSN+ member only thing, just like storing your game saves has became.
In a nutshell after reading the article, it all seems a bit like it's coming from someone who has dislike for Microsoft, I'd also like to say HisServant is right in the fact that it depends were your friends are. For me most of my friends are on XBL and that's why I see myself mainly buying multiplayer games for my Xbox360 than I do my PS3.
If someone's not playing the same game as me then I don't want to be talking to them.Though I would rather not talk to anyone while playing a game full stop.
But, if you're good friends with someone, it's great to chat with them without making either one of you play the same game at the same time. But usually that's only friends that you've reached the level of friendship where your conversations extend further than just chatting strategy in the current game you're playing.
When I'm playing games I don't want to be talking about what's going on in my life and stuff like that. Also when I'm out with friends, I don't want to be spending half the day talking about games.
To me there's my gaming life and my social life and while I do mix them both together, I preferr to keep them separate.
Even when I do play online, once a game is over I don't care if we stop talking with each other anymore.
The fact is that most of my conversation's on PSN are when I'm not playing anything.
And cross-game chat is amazing and fun, and the people who say that they don't need it have never been in an Xbox Live party with a bunch of bros. It's hilarious and fun, and I was disappointed when I found out PSN didn't have that feature
Really don't get why some PS3-only owners have to get really mad on topics like this.
Games aren't exclusive to me anymore since I have a 360, PS3, and a decent gaming PC =/
So you can't really say that those of us who don't care about the feature have never been in a similar situation on PSN.
