God of War is a great video game and it continues to get better with each and every entry into the series. However, it can always improve on something. Here is what we want from the next God of War.

There’s no questioning that God of War is one of the most mind-numbingly bad-ass franchises to come along in recent memory. From the game’s beautiful environments to the way Kratos engages in fierce battles against enraged mythological enemies, God of War is an outstanding action-adventure series and one of the most enjoyable gameplay experiences available. But as impressive as it may be, a few changes and additions wouldn’t hurt the God of War series. It might even thrive from some effective and intelligent implementations.

    How about, no God of War IV? I mean seriously with the way the 3rd one ended what with Kratos "disappearing" and all that...LEAVE IT THAT WAY.

    I don't want them to bring another one out, they can't do much y'know caus all the damn gods are pretty much DEAD ; ;

    If anything it needs to be a prequel were you play as Kratos before his family was murdered.

        They honestly should do that. Not Kratos though, just the same team taking a different mythology on.

          on a serious note, yeah that would be sweet. cant do Roman really since Roman and Greek gods are technically one in the same. but theres Egyptian, Norse, then other obscure ones that might seem more out of place. make a new character and go at it with the same team. sounds better to me than GOW4 since it sounds like that wraps the series up.

    Honestly, as much as I love the God of War series, and even though they sort of left it open to more sequels, I really can't think of anywhere they could take the story of the series that would make sense.

    I don't think there should be a GoW IV unless it's a prequel, but even that seems very unnecessary.

    I'd love to see the developers start a new epic trilogy though, perhaps based on some other mythology like some of the above comments suggested.

    I could have swore I remember them saying that "God of War" is not over, but Kratos' part in it was. Therefore meaning they will make a game similar, but without Kratos.

      yeah hopefully another mythology. wonder if they will still call it God of War if they go with another mythology? maybe if they do and they make 4-6, that will be a trilogy with another mythology. i cant see them still trying to milk Greek mythology even more.

        Yeah, I wonder that as well. They could, just be a different god basically under a different umbrella of mythology. I could see them just keeping the of war part as well, or even god of... whatever.

        Sorta like the shock from system shock to bioshock.

          Yes but fans of the original God of War won't have the same wow factor unless a lot of things are mixed up. If they just replace all the gods with Norse gods with a new protagonist and keep the same story, it'll likely be boring.

          I think God of War should take a break for now, and the team should work on a different project.

          System Shock > Bioshock btw
