Guitar Hero III Is The Highest-Grossing Game of The Generation

Do you remember those days where everyone is playing Guitar Hero. Now it seems that its just a fun past time. Guitar Hero may be dead but it left a legend. It is, according to CNBC, the most revenue generating game.

    They are all music games, Mario games or Call of Duty games....

    It's Activisions fault Guitar Hero is dead. They where releasing new games faster than Apple releases new Ipods.

    doesnt really count for a game that sold a lot of bundles, and it sounds like they are counting guitar sales also from what i understood. doesnt seem fair to go up against games that only have the game itself. so i say technically Black Ops is still on top. well, it will close the gap soon anyway.

    its kinda like how they say that Wii Sports is the highest selling game of all time with an asterisk because of course they came only with a Wii, and so that shouldnt be allowed to count.

      I think GH is a little different to a whole other console. The guitar controller is part of the Guitar Hero game, but the Wii console is not part of Wii Sports, it's just the console it plays on.
