Five Reasons the PS3 May Overtake the 360 in 2011

This is a feature editorial looking at the reasons why the Sony Playstation 3 might overtake the Microsoft Xbox 360 in 2011, from gaming website PlanetXbox360.com - this is in response to another article they did looking at the opposite opinion.

After reading through all of the opinion charged responses to our latest feature in support of the Xbox 360's position in 2011 (click here to read it), we thought it best to take a look at the topic from the other perspective. As I’m sure most of you are well aware, the PlayStation 3 launched a full year after Microsoft’s console, putting Sony at a clear disadvantage. The fact that the PS3 has been able to catch up to its competitor this quickly speaks volumes about the viability of the console. So, in an effort to prove to you that I am not a raving Xbot, I present to you five reasons why the PS3 may surpass the 360 by year’s end.

    Analysts on the inside have already said the PS3 overtook the 360 earlier this year.. It isn't a case of how it will do it as it actually has.

      did it? if thats the case then VG Chartz must be waaaaaaay behind. and how do you know you can trust these "analysts"?

        VG Chartz has never been accurate even back when the generation was fresh. I would hate to think how bad they are now that many of the statistical aggregators like NPD have stopped publically posting console sales figures which is what VG Chartz went on. Many of the analysts that have stated it more than likely have internal connections to both companies and have the figures direct.

    Isn't this article written by the same people who wrote the " Why the PS3 won't overtake the 360" and listed pretty much the same shit, except in the 360's favour

    I remember having a quick glance at the other article and then chuckling when i saw that it was written by a xbox website. seemed kinda biased and pointless given the fact ps3 has already overtaken 360.
