A free years subscription is pushign it, but a three month offer wouldn't be so bad if they made PSN+ actually worth having. I could see it making it more popular too, seeing there is no way to demo it people may decide to take on the year package after their free 3 month offer ends. If they improve it that is.

I also love that article pic. It's definitely not mine, unfortunately...I found it somewhere online, but it's hilarious, and so are all of its variations.

For the record, to anyone reading this article, I know that it is highly unlikely to expect anything from Sony for this whole situation, but I posted this more or less as a theoretical solution to the problem, not an actual guess about what they're going to do when PSN goes back up. Just wanted to clarify that ahead of time.

well, I think it would be a nice idea, but a year is far too long... 2 or 3 months may be a good move on Sony's part. It still gets people interested in PSN+ and it should plenty of "make-up" even though I personally do not think they need to do anything. A free DL to current PSN+ subscribers would suffice as well.

I wouldn't mind having PSN plus for free for a few months, but I'd prefer them to give us some free games isntead, like Braid or something.
