Guilty Pleasure Games

Game Podunk blogger, DoctorStrangeLove writes on game features he would like to see in the near future of games we play. Read on for more information.
Now it isn't exactly fair to say that Assassin's Creed is doing things wrong, because it is a legitimately fun game. But I've run into this problem so much it just makes me not want to play the game some times. I'll be running towards a wall, about to vault over it while chasing someone when Ezio will suddenly veer left and throw himself down a flight of stairs. This usually means I've lost the target I was chasing and have to start over. While I understand that the system can't be perfect, there seems to be times where I'm running into the wall over and over again, but my character just doesn't realize he's supposed to jump up and grab the ledge in front of him. I'm not sure how exactly this could be made better. Maybe add a sparkling effect to the place you're aiming to jump or climb on would help. Its not like it would really stand out against all of the sparkling objects already scattered around the game. Of course they should give the option to turn it off if it was distracting
