Hey Square! Remake Final Fantasy VII Already!

What could be holding Square-Enix back from remaking Final Fantasy VII? Game Podunk blogger, IWX says enough to the wait. Read on for more details....

Ok Square, I’ve given you the benefit of the doubt over the years. Just waiting biding my time when I could cry out in triumph that there would be a remake of Final Fantasy VII for the Playstation 3. But no, you continue to skirt the questions and waste time, money, development and man power on sub par games that tank. Are you afraid of actually making money again? I remember a time when I heard Square Presents “THIS GAME” and I would be ready to slap my money down blindly to preorder the title. However, I can’t even remember the last time a game was released by Square that I even considered preordering. All I’m asking for is a restoration of confidence. I know you don’t mind remaking games because I have been seeing tons of classics flying out on handhelds and even the iPhone at this point! So why not Final Fantasy VII?

    I've said this elsewhere, but I don't see remaking FFVII as a big deal.

    Tbh, I think SE is in such a rut right now that a FFVII remake would be the smartest thing to do to boost sales for the company.

    Though I could care less if there is a remake or not, replaying it on the PS3 after buying from the store was good enough for me.

    No, don't remake it, I'm perfectly happy having FFVII kept the same way forever, it's a fantastic game and a HUGE part of my childhood, remaking it would ruin it IMO.

    Hey Square, any danger of you announcing Kingdom Hearts III this side of the century? You know, just so you don't leave us hanging...

    And sack whoever made XIV, then make sure the PS3 version is awesome. Nuff said, now back to work.
