6 Failings Of The Playstation Vita It looks amazing, but all may not be so rosy

ALex is our resident tech-hound, always with the latest gadget in his hand and looking at investigationg the whys-n-wherefores of each item.

He's delved into the various smart phones, the Nintendo 3DS, Sony's Move and Microsoft's Kinect. This time he looks into the new Sony handheld, the PS Vita, and specifically, 6 'possible' areas that could cause it some concern . . . but slip on over and check it out so you can make your mind up, and share your thoughts with him and others.

With the PS Vita’s release inching closer and closer, I’m back once again to cut through the excitement and raise the potential questions and issues that may harm an otherwise excellent console.

Several months ago the companion article to this for the Nintendo 3DS raised similar queries, some of which were remedied upon release and some of which still remain.

Time to see what Sony can do with their second dip in the handheld pool, hot on the heels of the underwhelming Sony Ericsson Xperia Play phone.

    I gues there's no middle ground between perfection and failure anymore. For some reason, if it's not absolutely perfect, it's labeled as a failure.

    I wouldn't term these points as failures so much as possible issues.

    We won't know for sure until the handhold is released though.

    I'm hoping the Vita is a pretty good system but I just wish it'd have a cooler name.. Kinda like the Wii-U or whatever.

      or more like, i dont know...the PSP2 perhaps? god knows why that name was not considered, its the friggin 2nd PSP (not counting the PSPGo) for god's sake. im going to call it PSP2 anyway, or PSV perhaps, but im not calling it "Playstation Life" because that makes no sense for a game console.

      Sony's reasoning was something weak like "well it blurs the line between a console and your real life". yeah, whatever you say Sony.

      Are you serious? Vita is a shit name but Wii-U is no better.
