Battlefield 3 has been all aboard the hype train for Frostbite 2.0 since its unveiling and as the release of the game draws closer and closer, even more questions arise as to why the console versions of the game are missing features and whether or not it is really truthful for DICE and/or EA to go on with the statement that Frostbite 2.0 is supported on consoles even with these missing features.

Frostbite 2.0 is, let’s face it, a major selling point when it comes to EA and DICE’s upcoming first-person shooter Battlefield 3.

The promises of unrivaled destruction and the ability to witness buildings crumble before your eyes in a realistic manner is something that every gamer is no doubt interested in.

This is a very well put together article analyzing things from a more analytic and in-depth angle. I'm hoping I can buy my new PC rig before this game drops but if not I am going to feel like I'm missing out by playing it on consoles.

Oh guys remember the same guy who said this?? :

Alan Kertz: "Bullshit confirmed. Frostbite 2.0 is the engine running the game on all platforms!!"

    Also said this:

Alan Kertz: "you’re not going to be bringing buildings down in Battlefield 3 like you did in Bad Company 2"

Google is your friend people... check the sources, you may recognize their 3 letter name.

The game is not Frostbite 2.0 on consoles, it just maintains that label. This is definitely borderline false advertising for multiple months straight.

It'll be a shame, but it will still be alot better the Modern Warfare 3.
