Jeremiah Hisel of Goozernation writes about the recent news that Netfilx will split its streaming, and its rentals by mail services in to two companies. Where you can rent games nowadays, and how much it costs.

Netflix recent disclosed that they are splitting the company in two parts: Netflix would be streaming vdieo and Qwikster will ship physical media through the mail. With the anouncment that Qwikster would offer game rentals through the mail, I started to wonder, do people still rent games? Where do they rent them from? How much does it cost? It’s been well over three years since I rented a game, and that game was from Blockbuster video, now deceased. I decided to do some research and see where to rent and how much it costs.

I've tried the Redbox method before, and it's definitely the easiest if you want to get a quick playthrough in or just try something out. What we ended up doing was picking up two copies of the same game so we could do a system-linked co-op. I imagine I'd use that method in the future if I want to play with a friend but don't want to purchase the full game or want to coordinate it before hand to get it in the mail in time.

That's a smart idea because friends always want to play COD multiplayer, but I'm not very interested in buying the games.
