What does the word "Templar" bring to mind? Catholic knights of the Middle Ages? StarCraft? Assassin's Creed? The correct answer this time is Assassin's Creed, though their use of Templar is heavily steeped in the Middle Ages image. The Templar Order isn't the only religious analogy used in Assassin's Creed; the series is chock full of religious references, not all Christian, from Adam and Eve to Roman goddesses.     dont forget the Assassin's motto "nothing is true, everything is permitted" which Ezio explains as not just blindly following what you believe to be true, and not being limited by what is perceived as being "moral", basically not being a robot which is what would happen without free will.
