Keith Vaz, British Member of Parliament and fool has struck out against Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 in an Early Day Motion put to Parliament. Vaz and ten of his cohorts have leapt to the defense of some of Britain’s most vulnerable citizens; Non-Player Characters. In an Early Day Motion, they claim that in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, “players engage in gratuitous acts of violence against members of the public.” EDM 2427 not only bafflingly claims that Modern Warfare 3 forces players to set about murdering innocent members of the public, but also implies a causational link between videogames depicting violence and violent people. The EDM itself is titled Call of Duty 3, which suggests that, as per usual, those calling for censorship have no first hand experience of the text in question.
