Could a retro Metroid be the ultimate way to take advantage of the Wii U's touch screen?
Nintendo’s focus with the Wii U is a return to the Core Gamer. The same can be said of the 3DS now that the company has arguably over-saturated the casual console market. That being said, one of Nintendo’s most hardcore games of all time has to be the Original Metroid games on the NES, Gameboy and SNES. Their sprawling world maps meant the game could take months to get through with secrets hidden throughout and special rewards given for those willing to beat it through to 100% item collection.
