Remember when getting a video game for Christmas was a huge event because you were too young to buy them on your own? The anticipation, the hope that Mom and Dad bought you the right game! Buying every game before Christmas has ruined some of the fun.

Having bought myself the videogames I wanted most before the arrival of the holidays, I’ve come to a painful realization. You see, by purchasing all the games that interested me before they could be given to me as presents, I inadvertently killed much of the Christmas’ ‘buzz.’ This year, it wasn’t like when I was younger and had no choice but to wait for the big day, bubbling with anticipation and excitement for games I knew I’d unwrap.

You remember that feeling, right?

This same situation happened to me during Christmas. Holding off on spending money just for the chance of finding the right games among the gifts.

Of course I didn't get them, but it was still a wise move.
