    graphics need to improve merely on the basis of immersion. One of the key factors of gaming is being able to do things you can't do in real life, and the satisfaction is increased the more it seems real. Graphics aren't the mainstay of a good video game experience; gameplay mechanics will forever rule in that regard. But developers and console makers alike should still endeavor to make them as realistic as they can.
